We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialized Nurse in Neonatal Care to join our healthcare team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide specialised care to newborns in the critical early stages of life. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge and expertise in neonatal care, ensuring the well-being and optimal health outcomes of infants under their care. By having a dedicated neonatal nurse on staff, we aim to provide the highest quality of care and attention, creating a nurturing environment for both the infants and their families.

Responsibilities


  • Provide specialised care to newborns in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
  • Monitor vital signs, assess newborns' condition, and promptly identify any signs of distress or complications.
  • Administer medications, perform necessary procedures, and provide treatments as prescribed by medical professionals.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualised care plans for each newborn.
  • Educate parents on neonatal care, including feeding techniques, hygiene practices, and monitoring signs of development.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to families, ensuring they are well-informed and involved in the care process.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of each newborn's progress and treatment.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in neonatal care through continuous professional development.

Qualifications 


  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher from an accredited nursing program.
  • Valid nursing licence and registration in the respective state.
  • Specialisation in neonatal care, such as Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse, Neonatal Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), Neonatal Transport Nurse, or Neonatal Home Health Nurse.
  • Additional certifications or training specific to neonatal care is preferred.
  • Proven experience working in a neonatal care setting, demonstrating expertise in providing specialised care to newborns.
  • Excellent knowledge of neonatal medical practices, procedures, and protocols.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with the healthcare team and educate parents.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of newborns.
  • Attention to detail and excellent observational skills to monitor and assess the condition of newborns accurately.
